"The shaft of these boots is so soft, just a beautiful boot all around. I am between a regular and wide calf boot. My ankles are small but, my calves are about 16 inches. These fit with the laces completely tightened. I will say if you have a wide foot, these are not for you. I have a wide instep, and these are tight across that area. I don’t have chunky feet so I think these will stretch enough once broken in to be fine. Otherwise, there is very little wiggle room in the toe box."

My calf is approx 18in and these fit great. These were a little tight initially as expected but The fist couple wearings broke them in very fast.
