9 size, mid width calf

"I have no bad notes. My foot is size 9, slightly wide around the toe box. My weight has fluctuated throughout the years and I wanted something that could wear with me in all phases of life. I put these on and they were instantly comfortable! A note about the wide calf, and this is only specific to me so take it with a grain of salt. According to BMI, when I was obese I could not have worn these shoes. However, in the upper level category of overweight, they fit with enough room to put a boot sock in. I dont have a naturally thick calf though. I think the upper leather would stretch over time if need be, but consider the zipper placement and how that will help take on/off. Overall this boot is so worth it and gorgeous."

Everyday boot

"They look great for an everyday tall boot. Unfortunately the right boot is just cut a little different which isn’t noticeable so I wore them and immediately knew that the left is awesome but the right isn’t really as comfortable. They are soft leather so I’m hoping the right boot gets better with wear."

Finally! ACTUAL wide calf boots!

"Yet another year, yet another search for tall quality leather boots that fit my calves. Frye is my go-to for all things leather boots, but their "wide calf" boots are laughably small. I've ordered so many over the years to only send them immediately back. I'd never heard of Bed Stü, but decided to give them a go as their measurements seemed to be more in line with what I needed. I wear a 10-10. 5 and decided to size up on these to an 11 based on reviews. It was definitely the right move. The boots felt tight across the widest part of my foot, but not so tight that it was uncomfortable and had stretched comfortably by the end of my first wear. I agree that these boots may not work for those whose calves are thicker from the knee down to their ankle. For me, I have thicker calves but thin ankles, they work perfectly. Since I ordered an 11, the circumference of the boot is the widest of the given range. They are actually wider than I need them to be, so I worried that they would slip down as a result. I think the interior zipper at the ankle helps give them some added structure and they stay perfectly in place. The quality of these boots is absolutely beautiful. Every bit as high quality as my beloved Frye's and I know I will have these for YEARS. I've only worn them once so far, but I received many compliments that day. I will say these boots are incredibly tall. I am 5'11", with long legs and these hit just under my kneecap. Not a complaint for me, but just a heads up for the shorter gals. I was torn between these and the Glaye, but I'm very happy with my choice."

"The quality is excellent and they’re gorgeous. I’m 5’-2”, 180 lbs and have really wide calves that make it difficult for me to find high boots that will fit. I ordered a size 8. This is half a size bigger than I normally would wear but wanted to be sure my calves fit. My calves are about 16-3/4” circumference each and the boots fit well. Great job BedStu!"
