"Serious Dye Transfer Issue – Not Disclosed I purchased the Howie Backpack in Cobalt Blue a few months ago and finally used it this past week. Unfortunately, the blue paint/dye from the leather rubs off under my fingernails and onto my shoulders and skin during normal use. This is not minor color transfer — it is significant and ongoing, and completely unacceptable for a backpack at this price point (nearly $400). There is no disclosure on the product page warning customers that the dye may transfer onto skin or clothing. Had this been disclosed, I would not have purchased this item. Customer service declined a refund and only offered an exchange, despite this being a material quality issue rather than a preference. I am extremely disappointed and want to warn other buyers, especially those considering the Cobalt Blue color. I expect better transparency and quality at this price level."
