"My rating is base on the pictures and I love love leather boots, and I just discovered this company yesterday and I have ordered 3 pair. I discovered on 6pm. com and after seeing a pair that i absolutely fell in love with on their site but they did not have my size, and because of the look I immediately check the brand for this website to go directly to the source. And I'm so glad I did; I'm a Frye girl love their boots but don't have such a great selection like I'm seeing on here. I was so excited I have purchased three different pairs. I went with the true to size on each one because wasn't sure about the return policy and didn't want to get stuck with them nor a big hassle doing any returns. "These boots have exceeded my expectations. Not only are they beautifully crafted, after a very short period of time they have softened up and are so comfortable. I was concerned about the zipper so I made sure I zipped and unzipped several times…no problems and no discomfort. I am usually a 8. 5-9, I went with the 9. The Tan Rustic color is lovely and goes with everything. I definitely recommend."

Unreliable zipper

"Had to order and return twice because the zippers do not stay up (the zipper is in a pretty compromising position). Yes, they are stunning boots and not practical. Regardless I'm going to find another pair on Bedstu because their boots are exceptionally made (I own the Annes and I'm convinced they will last a decade)!"

Dessa in Taro Latte

"I wore these out of the box and to the airport on a work trip so lots of walking! The leather is soft and the boot is lightweight. The zipper goes nicely down the center of the foot - far enough to not have to struggle to get your foot into the boot, like many others. I am a posture alignment therapist and look for shoes that have a wide enough toe box in order not to cramp my feet - especially when traveling. I also need comfort and functionality since I am in airports and on planes up to 6x a month. The ankle on one of them was digging in and I discovered it was because one strap was on top of the other and therefore pressing into my ankle. Once I moved it off the ankle bone, it was far more comfortable. I'm usually an 8. 5 and a 9 in running shoes. After reading reviews I went with a 9 and it's perfect. I'd give the comfort of these on a trip out of the box, an 80% score - which is more than what I typically expect for something that is as cute as they are! Besides the ankle situation - they were just fine. That says alot for traveling in a fresh pair of leather boots. While functionality and comfort are at the top of the list due to travel, I want a unique and cool/cute looking shoe to pop - which this does. The photos of the 2 toned taro latte boot don't do it justice. They look great under jeans/corduroys because the purplish blue color peeks out. I do look forward to wearing them with a dress to show them off fully. I have been in search of the perfect boots to wear for travel that are cute. If you search ""cute travel clothing"" it is a waste of time from my experience! I've put many to the test and they haven't succeeded. I think I may have finally found the right pair! Just need to figure out how to weather proof them :)"

Hi, I'm considering ordering the Bed Stu Dessa boot. Some reviews mention ordering a half size up, others say true to size. In your opinion and knowledge you may have from others or wearing this boot yourself, do you recommend ordering half size up?
If you have a narrow foot, we would recommend ordering your normal size. If you have a medium to wide foot we would recommend ordering half a size up.
