Disappointed

The quality of the belt seemed very poor. The buckle felt cheap and the leather was thin and unfinished on the back, not like what was shown in the pictures. I’ve always been impressed with the quality of Bedstu. I have bought several shoes and have the drifter belt. All are top quality and look great. That made this purchase very disappointing and resulted in me returning it.

Surprised to find that the

Surprised to find that the belts are made in China and not Mexico. I bought three belts and the buckles have broken 3x now because they are not authentic metal. They crack very easily. The quality of leather and durability is far from the quality of BedStu footwear.

We're terribly sorry that you were disappointed with your belt and where it was manufactured.
While most of our products are handmade in Leon, Mexico in our factory, we do have some styles and collections that come from other sources.
Take our Italian line for instance, the styles in this collection are handcrafted by artisan cobblers in Italy and then shipped here to us.
We have beautiful bags that come out of India and a few of our belts are made in China.
Our products that are manufactured outside of our Leon factory are still made with our vegan and non-toxic tanner leather, handcrafted and made just for BED|STU.
BED|STU products that are imported do have that information on their webpage under Materials and Specs.
I hope that this information is helpful, I'd hate to think that you thought we sent you anything less than the quality product that BED|STU is known for.

Purchased for my husband. Fits true to size (36 for a 34 waist). The width fits in a slightly narrower belt loop which was our goal. Soft leather as BedStu is known.
