These are beautiful boots. But, they are very stiff I’m hoping the more I wear the leather will become softer. I don’t think I would buy again if I knew it was so stiff.

Great boots! This is my second pair of Laurels, the first lasted 12 years of almost year-round wear. My only suggestion for Bed-stu as a company is to add more wider toe box styles, but the back zip on the Laurels makes them a favorite!

I love my Bed Stu shoes! I have black boots and dark brown sandals. If you offered more *dark* brown boots that would be great, but otherwise I'm all set. :)

These boots are really nice.

These boots are really nice. The leather is wonderful. Unfortunately you have a major design flaw. The stitching for the sole is raised so that it becomes worn when you walk. It took her less than a year to wear them down to the point where the sole separated. It cost us $140 to have a cobbler put new soles on. The pair I bought for me have the same issue, I just don't wear them as much. This issue has stopped us from recommending or buying any more of your shoes. At your prices, this shouldn't happen.

We understand how frustrating it must have been when your LAUREL didn't meet your expectations.
I wish we would have known that there was an issue with the soles of your boots. BED|STÜ footwear products are warranted against defects in craftsmanship and materials within 6 months of purchase.
We also have a repairs program and would have loved to have been able to repair your LAURELS for you.
The reason that the soles are designed this way allows them to be easily re-soled when needed, without having to take the whole boot apart because it's been cemented together.
Please consider reach out to our customer support team so we can assist you with your other pair of boots when the time comes for resoling.
