I want to return/exchange my purchase! What do I do?

We will accept returns on all unworn merchandise for up to 30 days after the original ship date. All returns must be accompanied by the return form and in the original box. We recommend sending your return shipment using a trackable and insured shipping method UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Shipping and handling charges for returned merchandise are non-refundable unless we have made a shipping error.

If returned outside the 30 day window, a webcredit will be issued in the amount of the original transaction.

To exchange an item, simply mail that item back to us with the completed Return/Exchange form that you received with your original package. On the Return/Exchange form, tell us how we can correct your purchase and we will exchange it and send it back to you with no shipping charge to you. If the requested exchange is not available we will contact you for an alternative item or return your purchase per our Return Policy.

I would like to return a gift that was sent to me. How do I do that?

If you would like to return merchandise that you received as a gift from, you may exchange the merchandise for a Bed Stu web store credit or choose to refund to the original purchaser's method of payment. Please indicate your choice in the space provided on the Return/Exchange slip enclosed with your merchandise and follow the accompanying return instructions. The Original order ID number, customer’s name and/or email address will be required to locate the original purchase information. If you do not have the Return/Exchange slip, please contact customer service by email us at for further assistance.

How long does it take for me to get a refund?

We will process your refund within approximately 4 days of receiving your merchandise. Once processed, we will send you an email confirmation acknowledging receipt of your return. Your banking institution may require additional days to process and post this transaction to your account. Please allow 1-2 billing cycles from the day you return your package for your account to be credited. Bed Stu reserves the right to deny refund if the merchandise does not meet return policy requirements.

Can I return used products?

We will only accept returns for items that have not been worn or altered. Merchandise must be in its original condition – Bed Stu does not accept returns for worn merchandise. Upon review, if the product returned has been worn, you will have the option of having the product sent back to you at your expense.

To ensure that your return or exchange is processed accurately and in a timely manner, your return shipment should be in its original condition, in the original box, and with the completed form enclosed. Do not use the shoebox as your shipping box. Cover or remove any original mailing address label or carrier barcodes from the packaging. Shipping and handling charges for returns are your responsibility as the client and are nonrefundable. We recommend you return the package using an insured shipping method. This will provide recourse should something happen to your package. We do not accept responsibility for packages we do not ship ourselves. Please keep the tracking details for your records.

How can I cancel or alter my order?

In an effort to get your order to you quickly, we fulfill orders immediately upon receipt. Therefore, it may not be possible to modify or cancel existing orders even within an hour of placement. If you have additional questions about your order, please contact customer service by email at

What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment is accepted in U.S. dollars only. currently accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and your Pay Pal account for all orders. We are unable to verify credit cards orders drawn from international banks or international billing addresses. Upon completion of your order request, your credit card will be authorized for the full amount of your order. Funds will be withdrawn from your account when the item is shipped. If an item is unavailable to ship immediately, the amount authorized for that item will be released within 48 hours.

Is it safe to use my credit card on your site?

All of your transactions are protected by SSL encryption software. This encrypts your credit card number so it cannot be read as the information travels over the internet. This industry standard is the best software available today for secure commerce transactions.

Can I use my debit card on your site?

Yes! The amount you charge will be put on "hold / pending authorization", meaning it will not be available to you once you place your order. Once your order is shipped, the amount of the transaction will be withdrawn from your account and the original "hold / pending authorization" will be voided. If an item is unavailable to ship immediately, the amount authorized for that item will be released within 48 hours.

When placing an order I get an error message. What went wrong?

Please double check that the billing address, credit card number, expiration date, and card verification number (CID) entered is accurate. Please be aware that currently accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for credit card payment.

Do you allow Cashier's Checks or Money Orders?

No. At this time does not accept Cashier's Checks or Money Orders

Is sales tax added to my order?

By law, we are required to charge sales tax on orders shipped within the state of California. Sales tax is not charged on orders shipped outside of California.

How do I track my order?

Sign into your account click "My Orders" to view order status. If you do not have an account it's ok, once your order has shipped you will receive a Shipping Confirmation email with your UPS tracking number. For assistance with your order, please contact customer service by email at

What if I received an Incorrect Shipment / Defective Product?

In the event that we processed an order incorrectly or you received a damaged or defective item, we will gladly take back that item for a full refund at our expense. I just placed an order online, when will I get my order?

All orders received by 1:00pm PST Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), with a premium shipping option will be sent out the same day. Orders shipping to Hawaii or Alaska must ship via 2 day air, unfortunately ground and overnight shipping is not available to these destinations. Orders are shipped via UPS Monday through Friday. Your package will ship once credit card authorization and verification has been completed.

**Please note that orders placed after 1pm PST will not be shipped until the following business day.

Can I expedite my shipping?

Sure, we currently offer three shipping options:

1. UPS Standard Ground (Free) - Delivery in 4 to 10 business days after processing
2. UPS 2 Day Air (Based on weight and destination) - Delivery in 2 business days after processing
3. UPS Next Day Air (Based on weight and destination) – Delivery on the next business day after processing

Orders shipping to Hawaii or Alaska must ship 2 day air, unfortunately ground and overnight shipping is not available to these destinations. At this time we do not offer International shipping, Saturday delivery or deliveries to P.O. Boxes.

You are welcome to update your e-mail address by logging in to your account online. The best way to do this is to take the following steps:

2. Log in to your account by typing your previous e-mail address and password. 
3. Once logged in, click on "Edit" within the "Account Information" area. 
4. Enter your new e-mail address into the line. 
5. To change your password as well, click on “CHANGE PASSWORD” type in your current password, then enter a new password in the "New Password" area below. Then enter the new password again to verify.

Does sell gift cards?

Yes, e-gift cards may be purchased online at Our gift cards and e-gift cards never expire and may be used online.

We recommend you make a record of your e-gift card number when you receive it and store it in a safe place. We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift card numbers. If you have lost your gift card/e-gift card code, please contact our Customer Service Center at Once your identity has been verified, we can provide the number again for you via email.

How do I use my eGift Card code?

Gift cards can be applied to your order by entering the code provided to you during the checkout process. e-gift card codes must be entered in the "Gift Card" space provided on the Order Summary page. Once the code has been entered, click the "ACTIVATE" button. The value of the gift card will be applied to your order.

What is a Web Store Credit and how do I get it?

A Web Store Credit is received for products returned, that fall outside the 30 return window, that may be used toward a future purchase on the website.  Web Store Credit will be sent to you as a code via email in the amount of your return.

How do I use my Web Store Credit?

In order to use your Web Store Credit code, you must enter the code in the "Gift Card" space provided on the Order Summary page during checkout. After entering the code, you must hit the "ACTIVATE" button, The value of the Web Store Credit will be applied to your order.

How do I obtain the balance of my Web Store Credit?

Log in to your account. On the bottom left corner click on “My Gift cards” enter the Web Store Credit code, and click the “Check” button.  That will let you know the balance of your Web Store Credit.

How do I use a Coupon Code?

Coupon codes can be applied to your order by entering the code into the space labeled "Coupon Code" on the Order Summary page during checkout. Once the code has been entered, click "GO". The value of the coupon code will be applied to your order.

How do I know my shoe size?

Because the foot is three-dimensional, any two-dimensional measuring tool, such as a ruler or Brannock device, can only approximate your true shoe size. Please also keep in mind the manufacturers use different lasts to construct their shoes, and sizing may vary accordingly. Make sure you are standing, wearing the socks or stockings you will wear with your new shoes. Use the chart provided to convert your two measurements from inches to find your actual shoe size.

How do I determine my belt size?

Belts are sized in inches and should be ordered 2 inches larger than your pants size. To find out what size you wear, first decide whether you will be wearing the belt around your waist or lower on your hips. For waist belts, take a measurement around your natural waistline (at the belly button). This is normally the smallest part of your torso. For hip belts, take a measurement around the fuller part of your hips where your jeans will normally fall. Refer to the chart below.

TIP: Use a belt that you already own and that fits you well to find your belt size! Lay out the belt and measure from one end (not including the buckle) to the hole that you most frequently use.

Bed|Stü footwear products are warranted against defects in craftsmanship and materials within 6 months of purchase. Upon review, if a defect is found in one of our products as the result of normal use, Bed|Stü footwear will repair the defect or exchange the product. We will only review defect claims for items purchased at All other defect claims must be taken to the original point of purchase. If the product is found not to be defective, you may request to have the product returned to you at your expense.

What is a Good Year welted sole?

This process is a traditional method for the manufacturing of men’s shoes and boots.  It takes its name from the inventor who came up with the original hand sewn method. The benefit of a shoe which is made using the Goodyear welt construction is that the system creates a cavity that is filled with leather and cork composite which allows for a constant flow of air to flow through the shoe, and keeps the shoes ventilated, comfortable, and durable.
