Great, however

"I have recently bought the Manchester wide calf, just so I could wear them over my jeans. Amazing quality, great style. HOWEVER: the foot fit is extremely narrow, and I mean it. I am used to snip toes, narrow fitting which would always take some wearing in, but these are another kettle of fish altogether. The internal stitching runs precisely across the widest point of one's foot, making the wearing in impossible. I do not have wide feet at all, but, after trying for a week and suffering a great deal of discomfort I had to take them to my shoe maker to get them widened - collecting tomorrow with some hope. . . Return was not an option as am based in the UK. I would give them 5 stars for quality and design but only 1 for the fit (the wide calf is great but really wide as well - they bulk over the skinny jeans). I know some comments already mention this - they should not be disregarded. I wear a 8. 5 M - Corrals, Ariats, Stetsons - all fit with no issues. Please please be more specific when advertising your sizing as it is MIGHTY INACCURATE."

"These boots are gorgeous. Unfortunately I’ll be exchanging/returning them for sizing, but I wish I could keep them. The smell upon opening the box was so nostalgic, took me back to being a little girl in the Goodyear shoe repair shop with my daddy. The leather is sturdy without feeling stiff. Good soles. Gorgeous design and silhouette, I love the rawhide lace up detail. My feet both measure right at 9. 5”, with one foot just over. I ordered an 8. 5 and they are a bit too big, hopefully a half size down will do it. Tricky, as my feet have grown through pregnancy and postpartum and I’m a new BedStu customer, but we’ll get there. Also, I’m 5’3”, and the shaft is a little too tall for me and hits at an unflattering part of my knee. I was worried that would happen 😅. In my opinion, they are perfect boots for someone just a bit taller than I am, but I may need to go with a different BedStu boot. If you’re on the fence, order them, they’re gorgeous."

"I got the tan. They are buttery soft and a beautiful lived-in color. I am usually a size 10-11 and the 10 fits exceptionally well for me. I have very slender legs so the calf is a little wide but the back lacing helps with this a bit, which is a bonus for me! I like that they don’t have a big heel as well. Very, very pleased with these boots."
