We’ve styled some of our hot picks for fall season with a modern take. Our pieces can easily become pieces you rock year-round (we love our products, and we want you to, too. #sorrynotsorry).
On a rare-ish sunny morning in San Francisco, sunlight reflects on skyscrapers of the city’s iconic skyline downwards into urban canyons, flooding downtown with golden light. To begin our morning, we took to the still quiet streets with our model, Claudia, right off of Union Square.
Our first look started off short and sweet with ELLICE : a charming Chelsea boot with elements of a western work boot. ELLICE is an amazingly versatile boot, coming in a variety of different washes. The short height of the boot and low heel make it great to pair with a cuffed jean or dress. We styled a pair of sheer crew length dress socks, a black denim mini skirt, and color blocked wool camel and black trench coat to create this cool, yet casual look. Shop this colorful color block coat from Anthropologie for a similar look.
Our ISLA 3.75” heeled bootie is a great staple piece that can transition from season to season. The sleek, modern silhouette features a simple buckled strap and side zipper for easy on and off. We styled ISLA with a military-style paperbag pant (shop this similar style from lulus) paired with a classic leather jacket and our VENICE BEACH cross-body bag for an easy office-to-Happy Hour look.
Our third look spoke volumes for the phrase, “less is more”. Featuring one of our year-round best sellers, the MANCHESTER has laces at the top of the shaft and zippers for ease of on-and-off. We paired the MANCHESTER with a pop of muted lime green (shop similar from Net-A-Porter) in the form of a military-inspired wrap dress. We added ZIGGY worn around the waist as a fanny-pack, for the finishing touch on this effortlessly cool ‘fit.
We toned it down with our next look, featuring LITA, a feminine menswear-inspired oxford complete with wingtip detailing. LITA, along with our carry-it-all ROCKAWAY handbag make the perfect pair for the Gal on The Go. Keep it business casual with high-waisted cropped flare jeans with a raw hem (like these from ZARA), a plain white thermal (a popular piece from Free People) and a simple (or a fancy one, your choice!) black blazer.
We made our way above Stockton Street (literally!) on top of the Stockton Street tunnel. Emerging from the staircase onto the street above, we saw the morning light reflecting off of both taller, modern buildings and shorter, older brick buildings built in the 1930’s.
Our next style was a balance of easy-going and cool. The plain black tank top and high waisted cropped flared jeans would have been an easy casual outfit, but throw on our super sleek leather CARLA heeled bootie, and it instantly becomes city-chic. Claudia looked cozy-cool in the pièce de résistance: a woven color block striped sweater coat. The sweater is no longer available, but this fun cardigan from Revolve and this gorgeous coat from Anthropologie have the same #vibes.
Ultimately, how you style yourself is up to you. Pick and choose what you like about trends, or defy them entirely. The beauty of visiting and being in a big city is that there are a million stories to be told and heard (or in San Francisco’s case, 880,000 stories). No story is the same, unique to the individual and their own experiences; our pieces are the same, each unique to their wearer and their styles.
